Lillis Instruments grew out of a crossover between Mike’s passion as a musician and his background in design and fabrication. He brings a combination of creative thinking, practical making skills and attention to detail to every instrument.

While Lillis Instruments officially began in 2025, the project has been quietly evolving for over a decade. The Resonator is just the beginning. There are plenty more sketches, experiments and ideas waiting for their turn.
