The Resonator is an active string instrument designed and made in Naarm Melbourne by Mike Lillis. An amplified sound source is used to vibrate the strings which resonate along in a spacious textural drone.
It can be used as an instrument in its own right, as a responsive drone accompaniment or a resonant tonal reverb. The Resonator adds rich tapestry of overtones and sonic glue to music production.
